Israel Destroys Damascus, Then Russia Invades

WorldNetDaily - Exclusive ©2008

By Bill Salus

These days it doesn’t require much dusting to see that Russia is conspicuously etching its indelible fingerprints upon the Middle East. In a bid to regain superpower status, the ancient Muscovites are forming unprecedented alliances with Iran and Syria, the two primary enemies of modern day Israel.

These strengthening ties, coupled with a 2600 year old Ezekiel prophecy, has end time eschatologists racing against the clock to publish their next cutting edge book.

For those unfamiliar with the Old Testament prophet, he foretells in his chapters 38 and 39 the coming of a Russian – Iranian led nuclear equipped coalition that invades Israel in the last days. For a litany of recent newsworthy reasons, all indicators point to this enormous episode occurring in the very near future.

Although volumes of Ezekiel invasion bestsellers should soon justifiably line world bookshelves, these authors must be cautious not to put the colloquial cart before the proverbial horse. Indeed Russia and Iran are ready to make their move, but what about Syria? Oddly Syria, who today panders alongside Iran for Russian affections, is not included among the elite 9 members of the Ezekiel 38 and 39 consortium of attacking nations. Why not, what knocks their quiver of missiles out of the Ezekiel military equation?

Psalm 83 or Ezekiel 38,
Which is the Next Middle East News Headline

By Bill Salus

These days there is much talk centered upon the future timing of the Russian and Iranian led invasion of Israel, foretold in the Bible prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39. Due to the newsworthy events that are presently occurring, whereby Russian and Iranian relationships are ever strengthening, prophecy buffs are appropriately attempting with god-speed, to connect the prophetic dots.

For those of you who are not familiar with today’s most prevalent prophetic news pervading the Christian and Jewish scholarly communities, you should study Ezekiel 38 and 39, with the understanding that it alludes to a nuclear equipped Russian – Iranian led confederacy, which forms to invade the nation of Israel in the end times. Although scholars are somewhat split as to who all the other enjoining coalition member nations are, they all tend to agree that no explicit reference is made to the inclusion of Palestinians, Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, or Jordanians. Furthermore Saudi Arabians apparently abstain from enlisting themselves in the fight alongside Russia, Iran, Turkey, and the additional consortia of nations. The absence of these above listed predominately Arab populations tends to perplex the scholars, often causing them to postulate, rather than promulgate as to the reasons why.

In their zeal have the prophecy buffs managed to put the colloquial cart before the proverbial horse? Certainly the events described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are slated to arrive soon, but are they indeed scheduled next? There exists a litany of questions that should be appropriately answered before any scholar dare flip the pages of the prophetic calendar forward to the date of this Goliath Ezekiel event. Newspaper exegesis makes for sensational reporting, but has no inherent ability to accelerate the final fulfillment of a Bible prophecy.

Before we list the flurry of questions, let’s ponder the most obvious one, which is; why are the Palestinians, and their Arab neighbors from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan, not declared by Ezekiel to be enlisted members in the Russian – Iranian led coalition? These are the nations that have proven to be the most observable opponents of the Jewish State, since its inception in 1948. It is through much of their Arab soil, that Russia, Iran, and their cohorts intend to travel in order to invade Israel. This question will be answered further on in this article, but for now let’s explore the following additional questions.

Is Israel:

1. A people dwelling securely, yashab betach in the Hebrew language? (Ezek. 38:8)

2. A people dwelling without walls? (Ezek. 38:11)

3. A nation at peace in the Middle East? (Ezek. 38:11)

4. One of the wealthiest nations in the world? (Ezek. 38:13)

5. A people who have acquired "great plunder"? (Ezek. 38:13)

6. Recognized as a Sovereign Nation, by the international community? (Ezek. 38:8)

These questions address some of the prerequisite conditions required for the stage to be appropriately set for the Russian – Iranian led nuclear equipped invasion of Israel. Furthermore Ezekiel 38:8 describes the Jewish people, as being regathered from the nations of the world, and returning to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. Though the Jewish people are being restored back to their ancient promised land, the honest answers to the above questions are, in each case No!

For Such A Time As This

The Palin Prayer

By Bill Salus

Who is this Wasilla Wonder that has recently captured the hearts of America? They say this former beauty queen has a pit bull personality, and can shoot and skin a 450-pound moose.

Her sudden rise to international political prowess has got Democrats scratching their heads, and media liberals searching for their shovels. Joseph Farah, founder of WorldNetDaily, confidently considers her presidential, and world-renowned bible prophecy scholar Dr. David Reagan of Lamb and Lion Ministries believes the Lord may have set His heavenly hand upon her.

Is this former “hockey mom”, with a family of five children, ready to handle the Queenly challenges that may soon fill her political plate? The possibility remains strong that John McCain could be the next president, making Sarah Palin the first ever, American female vice president.

Almost embarrassingly, Republicans recognize that their candidate McCain rapidly approaches the ripe old ashes-to-ashes, and dust-to-dust age, and as such, with bated breath both they and the Democrats ponder the Palin presidential possibilities.

Could it be that someday Sarah Palin could be the president of the United States? Is she, like the ancient Queen Esther, destined to be the matriarch of her people? As was the case with Esther is it the same with Sarah, has she been lifted up for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14)

Only time will tell, but in the soberness of reality the only thing standing in front of a Palin presidency is a nearby November election, and a subsequent breath-taking event.

This God fearing woman, that many voters believe is an answer to their prayers, has special needs. Her husband and average American family have been advanced into a modern day David meets Goliath scenario. This diamond in the rough appears wired to answer the gigantic call, and if she has been lifted up for such a turbulent time such as this, then bipartisan prayer is the call of this all-important hour.

While twin financial towers, like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, still topple, foreclosure rates rise, and natural cataclysms, like Katrina, Ike, and Midwest tornadoes, advance against American soil, Russia bids for superpower status, an apocalyptic Iranian president seeks Jewish genocide, and Al-Qaeda plots nuclear terror.

All considered, there has never ever been a time such as this. With this understanding, American Christians have again lately been quoting 2nd Chronicles 7:14 which reads,

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (NKJV)

Even though this is an Old Testament passage referring to the Hebrew descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the patriarchs of the Jewish people today, many Christians believe this scriptural shoe fits for them and their country as well.

In what some consider the most important election year in our nation’s history, many voters have become apathetic to the election process. They believe that this go-round it is not about the best man for the job; rather it is a choice between the lesser of two evils.

When Barrack Obama decided upon Senator Biden as his running mate, the politics as usual sigh went out across the land, but when America woke up to the invigorating news that Sarah Palin was on the Republican ticket, emails began flowing, phones began ringing, and Christians began rejoicing the resounding voice of one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.

The "Obama Prophecy"
By Bill Salus

On July 22, 2008, while visiting the Middle East, presidential hopeful Barack Hussein Obama declared that Jerusalem should be the “undivided capital” of Israel. The very next day he lauded the Jewish State as being a “miracle”. Then one week later on July 30, unknowingly echoing a large chorus of top prophecy scholars, he was quoted on ABC television as stating: “Israel will launch a military attack on Iran if nuclear sanctions don’t work.”

Did G-d decide to sidestep the present Bush Administration’s Roadmap Plan for Peace in the Middle East and pronounce divine judgment through a Democrat? Politics or prophecy, call it what you like, these above statements made by one of Washington’s most liberal Senators have biblical merit. Be it an educated guess, “Freudian Slip”, or prophetic utterance, the declaration “Israel will launch a military attack on Iran”, may be foretelling the next Middle East News headline.

The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East

By Bill Salus
5 STAR - Book Review By Bob Ulrich

There’s a war on the horizon. The student of prophecy can feel it in his bones as the prophetic warnings of the Old Testament prophets come into view. Just recently, Russian tanks swept across the landscape of democratic Georgia, destroying everything in their path as the Georgian people begged for mercy. Russia has also claimed ownership of the North Pole and the rich mineral rights that go along with it. Oil is the new gold. And the Cold War is over, right?
Russian strongman, Vladimir Putin, has completed his term as Russian President, but somehow, he’s kept his hands on the Russian military machine. The Russian Bear is on the move again and its pockets are lined with increasing oil revenues, likely generated from America’s attempt to fight worldwide terrorism.
On another war front, Iranian madman, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, continues to threaten Israel with annihilation, as his country moves down the perilous path to nuclear capability. Ahmadinejad seems to have a death wish, purposely rattling his saber in hopes of creating and apocalyptic scenario that would leave Iran in the good graces of the Mahdi, the Muslim Messiah. Russia and Iran are perfect partners for the last days.

The stage is set, the players are in place and soon, Russia, along with the jittery, Iranian posse, will attack little Israel and get the surprise of a lifetime! Yes, it’s the Battle of Gog and Magog that many of us think could be right around the next bend in the road.

But according to Bill Salus, author of Isralestine: The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle Ease, you need to read the Old Testament again. Salus says that Obadiah, Zephaniah, and Zechariah had some major things to say about today’s warmongering in the Middle East. Suffice it to say that the ancient hatred between Israel and its biblical neighbors has been fast forwarded to the 21st century and a new battle of long time enemies may be about to begin.

According to the author, there is a big war on the horizon, but not the one you expect. Salus takes us to Psalm 83 and introduces us to what he believes is the regional war that must take place before Russia and Iran come down against Israel:

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent; they are confederate against thee” (Psalm 83:4-5)

J. R. and Gary have been talking about Psalm 83 for many years, along with the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17, but someone has finally penned a book on this complicated subject! I don’t think you’ll find another book out there on the preliminary war to the Battle of Gog and Magog. But be forewarned. This book is not without controversy as Salus introduces some unusual ideas on this war, the future of Islam, the future of Israel, and the Palestinian people.

Salus takes us to Ezekiel 38 and points out that Israel's surrounding neighbors are nowhere to be found in the Battle of Gog and Magog. Where are their lifetime archenemies? Syria? Jordan? Egypt? Saudi Arabia? Lebanon? The Palestinians? How could Russia and Iran fight a war against Israel and keep these perpetual antagonists away? According to Bill Salus, it’s simple. At the time Gog and Magog takes place, Israel has already conquered her ancient enemies in a dramatic and convincing military victory, greatly expanding her borders while plundering the wealth of these Arab nations. This is the event that draws Russia and Iran down from the north as they see Israel taking control of the wealth of the Middle East.

Isralestine offers a fantastic summation on the miraculous restoration of the nation of Israel. He builds the foundation of the book around the reliability of the Abrahamic Covenant. Unfortunately, according to the author, 85% of mainline Christian churches are now embracing Replacement Theology, teaching that the church has replaced Israel in God’s future plans. Once you read this book, you won’t be able to even consider that flawed perspective.

The roots of this ancient family hatred can be traced all the way back to the Garden of Eden, but Salus does a great job in showing many Old Testament events in a new light. The fractured relationship between Isaac and Ishmael; the nasty relationship between Sarah and Hagar, and the peculiar relationship between Jacob and Esau will all take on new meaning for you after Salus opens up your eyes to what might have been happening in their world during several well-chronicled, life changing events.

He’ll show you why God chose Israel to be the “apple of His eye,” and why he chose to punish them and scatter them to the four corners of the earth. He’ll explain the Holocaust and show you why the Antichrist has a sequel planned for the Jewish people and why they will be caught off guard. Best of all he’ll show you why God has chosen to bring them back to the Holy Land and restore them to prominence.

While many Christians are looking for a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians, Salus is looking for war. Many of God’s ancient prophecies concerning the destruction of Israel’s enemies have yet to be fulfilled, but that could change quickly. God said, “I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee.” The enemies of Israel need to be on high alert because our covenant-honoring God always keeps His promises.

NO PALESTINIAN

Promised Land !

Shocking New Prophecy Discovery

By Bill Salus

Bearing the burden of the latest breaking Mideast prophecy news let me be among the first to announce that a diligent search of the Old and New Testaments reveals that there is no Holy Land promised to the Palestinians. This shocking revelation introduces this present Bush Administration to invaluable new information that could profoundly affect its failing Middle East foreign policy.

The White House can now consider canceling all pending Condoleezza Rice Middle East flights, and safely shred all of the Performance Based Roadmap Plan for Peace documents once and for all. The modern day myth, that the Palestinians are entitled to any of Israel’s Promised Land, has now been duly exposed.

Official disclosure, contained in my new book Isralestine, The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East, should once and for all turn this into an open and shut case. In fact the final fate of the Palestinians, according to Bible prophecy, is bleak and near to being over.

These Palestinians, formerly called the Arabs of Palestine, have bitten off more Jewish land than they can possibly chew, and none of which they will ever permanently swallow. Isralestine identifies the migratory pasts of this mish-mash of peoples, and aligns them up with the appropriate judgment passages within the Bible.
Ancient ethnic composites of Edomites, Philistines, Amalekites, Ammonites, Moabites and more, these primarily refugee populations of today, have opted to abandon their century old family trees in favor of climbing into a more modernized Palestinian identity.

Why not? After all, the neighboring Arab nations, from which they share common ancestry, have failed miserably over the past 60 years to adequately assimilate them back into their former homelands. Furthermore, UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, has been funding their religiously energized platform, recently labeled “Palestinianism”, for 6 decades now.

In all fairness, the Palestinians still have time to repent and seek refuge in the lands of their respective heritages, which according to Jeremiah 12:14-17, they were instructed to do in the first place. However, according to the historic and prophetic accuracy of scripture, we are informed that this is not the course these displaced peoples opt for. Quite to the contrary they choose a continued path of resistance to the re-establishment of the modern day Jewish State.

Ultimately according to a 3000-year-old prophecy contained in Psalm 83, they confederate amongst the Hezbollah, Hamas, Al-Qaeda, Syrians, Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, and Lebanese in an end times march against Israel. Their mandate is the ultimate destruction of the Jewish State, “that the name Israel be remembered no more.” (Ps. 83:4) This cursed attempt provokes the judgments, outlined in Isralestine, upon all of them.

Some of these predominately Arab populations will survive, but according to scripture many are escorted into prolonged captivity. Concurrently Israel is scheduled to annex more Promised Land, and through time many of these prisoners of war will repent, and turn their affections toward Jehovah. Unfortunately for both Arab and Jew, this is what is destined according to the foreknowledge of Bible prophecy.

A loving G-d, aware of the beginning through to the end, has imparted this invaluable prophetic information for our modern day understanding. Don’t take this authors word for it, search the scriptures, and scrutinize Isralestine to find out for yourselves.

Don’t be surprised if the present political “Roadmap” attempts, aimed at creating a Performance Based Two-State Solution, fail or at best become a temporary salve to an open ancient wound. Permanent possession by the Palestinians, of Jewish Promised Land, is nowhere to be found in scripture. There is a reason we call them Palestinian Refugees today. This appears to be the highest resident condition they will ever achieve, until they…. to find out more, visit

Israel To Get More Land, Not Less

By Bill Salus

America the beautiful, but rapidly becoming less bountiful, has presently found itself in a precarious position. Economic misery, coupled with bad Middle East company, has the Bush Administration feverishly focused on forcing the infamous Roadmap Plan for Peace into immediate implementation.

While Condoleezza Rice is scurrying about, in an attempt to open escrow on a performance based Two-State Solution in the Holy Land, the ancient enemies of Israel are restocking their deadly arsenals.

Undoubtedly the time has come for the United States to get in with the theopolitical program or get out of the geopolitical theater. Although Short Sales run rampant in America, foreclosing on Israel in the end times is not biblically endorsed!

Modern day Israel miraculously exists in fulfillment of Bible Prophecy, and unless the Judeo-Christian Jehovah fibbed about Abraham’s future fortunes in Genesis 15:18, portions of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Saudi Arabia belong to, and are about to be possessed by, the modern day Jewish State.
