Psalm 83 verses Ezekiel 38 - the Rapture Ready Debate

Bill was involved in an Internet debate as to whether Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 are one and the same battle. It was sponsored by Raptureready.com. They posted two competing articles on the subject. One from Dr. Beshore, which promotes the two events being the same event, and the other is written by Bill. Additionally please note that the Dr. Beshore article suggests that my hypothesis mandates that the Rapture must occur before the Psalm 83 event and that the Ezekiel 38 episode must occur within the Tribulation period.

Nowhere and at no time have I ever made such declarations. I believe that Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38, and the Rapture are all Pre-Trib events. The Rapture could occur before Psalm 83, or vice versa. I believe both the Rapture and Psalm 83 will probably occur before the Ezekiel 38 prophecy. Furthermore, I believe the Ezekiel 38 invasion of Israel is a Pre-Trib event as well.

My article points out that I believe Psalm 83 precedes the Ezekiel 38 event and that in the aftermath of the Israeli Conquest of the Psalm 83 confederates, the stage becomes set for the coming Ezekiel 38 invasion.

Who are Daniel’s end time’s Kings of the North and South?

Daniel 11:40 foretells the coming of two kings that war against the Antichrist near the end of time. These kings are identified as the “king of the south” and the “king of the north”. Daniel chapter eleven references a “king of the south” eight times and a “king of the north” seven times. Most expositors believe that seven of the eight king of the south references, and six of the seven king of the north, have already found fulfillment in connection with Egypt (south) and Syria (north). Thus the common teaching is that the king of the south is an Egyptian, and the king of the north a Syrian.

Another school of thought regarding the Daniel 11:40 king of the north connects with the Ezekiel 38 Gog of Magog invasion. Some believe because this invasion is led by Russia in the latter years (Ez. 38:8) from the uttermost parts of the north as per (Ez. 38:15), that this king is a Russian rather than a Syrian. What is the true origin and identity of these two end time's kings?

Israel close to confirming Antichrist's death covenant!

There’s no fooling humanity anymore! Mankind nervously watches current international and Mideast events spin apocalyptically out of control. Welcome to OBAMASTINE- new signs adorn Palestine!

Relentlessly, the Obama administration pushes for a new Arab State called Palestine. Another indication is the recent implementation of a three-year $20 Million U.S. aid project intended to improve services in the Palestinian occupied West Bank. This American backed campaign earmarks $175 thousand for new roadside signs written only in Arabic and English.

Palestinians long ago eliminated Israel from their children’s textbooks and classroom maps, and now with American approval they intend to remove Israel from their road signs as well. These new markers, which may as well be written in Greek for Hebrew speaking Jews, evidence yet another forced attempt by the Obama administration to force Israel to forfeit land for peace in the Middle East.

Recent polls suggest that Israelis are fed up with American meddling in their national affairs. Among Israeli Jews, Obama runs neck and neck with Iran’s president Ahmadinejad in unpopularity. The Jerusalem post reported on August 27, 2009 that only 4% of Israeli Jews believe President Obama is pro-Israel. This was down from 31% in a similar poll conducted on May 17, 2009. His unprecedented decline in popularity among Israeli Jews suggests a sentiment of American betrayal.

Since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s important visit to Washington on May 18, 2009, whereby he personally familiarized President Obama about the numerous legitimate existential threats to Israel’s national survival, Obama has,

1. Reached out to 1.5 Billions Muslims.
2. Traveled to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, by-passing Israel.
3. Quoted Islamic scriptures on June 4, 2009 in his pro-Muslim Cairo speech.
4. Declared America is one of the largest Muslim populated world countries.
5. Stated that America is no longer only a Christian, but also a Muslim nation.
6. Pressured Israel to freeze all settlement expansions in the West Bank.
7. Refused to give a green light for Israel to attack Iran.
8. Allowed Iran to continue the development of it’s nuclear program.
9. Authorized non-Hebrew translated roadside signs in the West Bank.

Israelis are genuinely concerned that his above actions imply President Obama has made a calculated choice to befriend some oil rich Arab States and belittle Israel? After all, America is presently experiencing a severe energy and financial crisis and in desperate need of wealthy nations like Saudi Arabia, to fund its national debt and supply its oil.

America’s president unknowingly proceeds politically to accomplish what Iran and many of Israel’s Arab enemies today plot militarily, which is to wipe the Jewish State off of the map.

Could the coming Israel-Hezbollah conflict catalyze Psalm 83?

Many eschatologists, those who study end time events, are warning that three world changing Israeli war prophecies are about to occur. Isaiah 17:1, Psalm 83, and Ezekiel 38-39, usually listed in that order, describe prophetic events that could dramatically shift the balance of Mideast wealth and power into Israel’s favor.

Current unprecedented security threats facing Israel’s national existence not only support the eschatologist's beliefs, but have also forced many world leaders to push peace in the Middle East to the top of their agenda. They want Iran to refrain from developing a nuclear weapon, Israel to freeze settlement expansion in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank, and the Arab League to normalize relations with Israel and finally recognize its right to exist.

The international community continues to prescribe “Land for Peace” as the way to resolve the age old Arab-Israeli conflict; however the Bible predicts peace will come through military means rather than politically brokered real estate efforts.

Presuming the eschatologists are right, how soon might the world see the final fulfillment of these Middle East centered bible prophecies? Could it be that the present military preparations being made for another war between Israel and the Hezbollah could escalate and subsequently become the catalyst for the fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1 and ultimately Psalm 83? Does Daniel Debunk the Assyrian Antichrist?

Relatively recently a small circle of individuals have injected into the Christian Church a paradigm shift in Antichrist thinking. They advocate that this beastly individual has Assyrian origins. Oddly the book of Daniel, which seemingly issues the most pivotal prophecy regarding the origin of this personage, does not once mention the Hebrew word Ashur, or Ashshur, which is translated as Assyria, or Assyrian. This term is utilized within the Old Testament approximately 135 times; however, Daniel considered by many to be a prophetic authority on the subject of the Antichrist, apparently didn’t feel the Assyrian shoe fit the foot of this coming crazed world leader.

In light of the rumors of war between Israel and Iran these days there is a military intelligence report circulating that is commanding an enormous amount of Christian attention. The contents of this document are contained in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. These ancient biblical writings forewarn the world that Russia will form a nine-member coalition and invade modern-day Israel. Coincidentally, Iran, formerly known as Persia, is listed within this Russian consortium.

Many eschatologists are suggesting that the fulfillment of this Bible prophecy could occur soon because Russian and Iranian national relations are at an all-time high and Russia is proactively assisting Iran's bid for nuclear weapons.

Adding fuel to the fire, Iran's recently re-elected president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has previously declared Israel should be wiped off of the map, and Israel's present leadership believes that Iran will soon have the nuclear wherewithal to accomplish his Jewish genocidal goal.

Without extending into a detailed Bible study nor an active litany of current Israel and Iran centered military events, the prophetic point of interest is that Russia's confederacy will be divinely defeated, and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will confiscate a massive amount of its state of the art weaponry. This conclusion can be drawn from the events described in Ezekiel 38:18-39:9.

This suggests that at some point in the not so distant future, Israel will potentially become one of the most powerful military nations in the world.

Ezekiel 39:9 informs that us in the aftermath of Russia's invasion the Jews will possess much of, if not all of, Russia's, Iran's, Turkey's, Libya's and the other five confederate members' advanced arsenals. This intelligence information suggests that some of these weapons will potentially be nuclear in nature – we are informed that Israel will be converting these weapons into fuel for seven years.

In addition to this massive weapons cache, it is highly possible that Israel will already possess at the time large quantities of the current Syrian, Egyptian, Saudi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Hezbollah and Hamas Arab arsenals as well. As I detail in my book "Isralestine, The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East," Israel will likely conquer these populations and confiscate their weapons prior to the events described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 in conjunction with the Bible prophecy of Psalm 83.

Presently, some Christian leaders are closely examining the staggering ramifications of a Greater Israel coming into existence in the aftermath of the prophetic events described above. For instance, for decades many Bible-based believers have been taught that the Antichrist will create a temporary end-times peace in the Middle East. The general understanding gathered from prophecies contained in Daniel 9:27, Isaiah 28:15,18 and elsewhere is that this charismatic last-days world leader will initiate a false seven year covenant that finally brings peace to the Middle East and protects the Jews from the Arabs and/or vice versa.

However, the new Psalm 83 insights, as Bible prophecy expert Dr. David Reagan (view Reagan / Salus TV interview) calls them, contained in "Isralestine" have many scholars re-thinking their end-times models. It is entirely possible that the powerful prophetic events blueprinted in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 occur prior to the arrival of the Antichrist.

This possibility suggests that his false covenant with Israel is not an Arab-Israeli peace pact since Mideast peace would have already been achieved through the might of the IDF. This new presupposition has eschatologists pondering the possible content of the false covenant from a new Greater Israel prophetic perspective.

If, as Bible prophecy suggests, Israel soon becomes one of the world's mightiest military nations why will they concern themselves with a seven-year covenant, and what might this treaty purpose? To answer these questions one must advance the clock into the geo-political future and replace the struggling-to-survive lesser Israel of today with the mighty Greater Israel of tomorrow.

a) What the IDF and the Israelis would likely be seizing the tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) that the Russian-Iranian nine-nation nuclear-missile coalition would be deploying in that massive invasion. It could include an "exotic" variety of nuclear weaponry complete with ERRB (Enhanced Radiation Reduced Blast)"neutron warheads", and Electromagnetic scalar "tesla howitzers". The Russians could also deploy scalar electro-magnetic weaponry, a technology Israel also possesses, in mobile formations. The IDF victory in the earlier war decimating the Psalms 83 ten-nation Arab-Palestinian coalition a.k.a. tents of Edom as an “exceeding great army” (Ezekiel 37:10) would be empowered by the Lord God of the Universe and the stunning display of Israeli weaponry including her ultra-secret "tesla howitzers" and scalar electromagnetic weaponry.

b) In the unprecedented Divine destruction of the Russian-Iranian nine-member nuclear coalition, vast stocks of fuel cells—the energy power-packs of the land warfare systems that would be left intact in the battlefield. These fuel cells as we know could be the future power-source of many of the land-warfare systems. It is these fuel cells that could be Israel's source of energy (Ezekiel 39:9,10) for the next seven years. The IDF appears to engage in a post-disaster clean-up that is going to be the most complex in all history of human warfare with the battlefield. This "special operations" of clean-up the post-Gog-Magog defeat inferno by the IDF would be in military terms a very "high-end constabulary and post-disaster mop-up operations" creating the atomic cemetery city called Hamon Gog (Ezekiel 39:11)

c) The dramatic and unprecedented scope of God's intervention (which would not even be the moving of His little finger a few micro-millimeters) would simply ravage the coastlands of Russia, Iran and the nine member nuclear coalition (Ezekiel 39:6).

The Gog-Magog coalition’s "joint operations" of an air and land assault against Israel coming from the North-east, North-west land route axis going through Lebanon and a coordinated naval amphibious assault from the Mediterranean from the Syrian ports of Latakia and Tartus which would be teaming with Russian submarines and naval craft-all in place for that one massive assault on Yisrael. The Russians aimed at such an assault in the sidelines of the 1967 War but had to abort it due to the lightening Israeli victory. (Isabella Ginor & Gideon Ramez (2007) "Foxbats Over Dimona: The Soviet Nuclear Gamble in the Six Day War, New Haven: Yale University Press")

With the enemy force concentration at its optimum, the IDF would be swamped on all sides as the Russian-Iranian joint land-naval-air forces and nuclear forces would move in unison at the "high end of military interoperability". (Ezekiel 38:16) That would be the very point of "jaws of defeat and obliteration for Israel”; yet in utter total surprise would be the massive unprecedented Divine celestial assault of extra-terrestrial cosmic hailstorms that would rip these forces into utter oblivion. This could cause massive Tsunami on the Syrian-Lebanese coast tossing the coalition's naval armada. What a grand finale of humiliating and grinding defeat for Russia, Iran and the nine member nuclear coalition being powdered to dust and ground to oblivion.

The Lord God sets one enemy against the other when He miraculously saves His Children of Israel. (Ezekiel 38: 21) "And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother."

I dont anticipate the Russian-Iranian coalition actually assaulting Israel. if it were to do so then Israel would not survive the scope of the joint operations. What is clearly evident in the Word of God is the "knocking out of the bow and arrows" Ezekiel 39:3 meaning the offensive systems are pre-emptively decapitated before their payloads could strike Israel--the implication of this verse is resoundingly clear in the manner in which the Russian-Iranian nine-member coalition land, naval, air and nuclear artillery forces are decimated by the "Divine celestial sledgehammering" combined with the massive explosions of their own ordinance on themselves.

Looking at this forthcoming scenario, it only makes me to ponder how much more would the Lord God do for us in the Rapture that would perhaps come in the close heels of either the Psalms 83 or the Ezekiel 38-39 prophetic fulfillments.

The Rapture by equivalent would be the expending of a million-on-million power of thermonuclear energy levitation of the saved souls in Christ from all over the world, from all ages, and from all forms of matter into the Most Glorious and awesome Presence of the Lord God of the Universe and His Son Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

From shovels to Sherman Tanks, pitchforks to Patriot Missiles, and knifes to Nuclear Warheads, those resilient Israeli Defense Forces (I.D.F.) have managed to defend a nation that for all intents and purposes should have been wiped off the map a few decades ago. Coming out of 1,878 years of worldwide dispersion and the holocaust, the Jews have managed to muster up a mighty military machine that in just sixty-one years now threatens to send Iran’s nuclear program back to the “stone- age”.

Many experts, like eschatologist Hal Lindsey and former U.S. U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, are suggesting that may soon happen. Israel appears readied to knock the nuclear bow temporarily out of Iran’s hand and from my prophetic vantage point this could be a primary reason Iran, formerly Persia until 1935, isn’t listed in the upcoming Psalm 83 confederate invasion of Israel. Persia is omitted from the Psalm 83 bible prophecy but oddly they bare their banner in the Russian invasion of Israel described in Ezekiel 38 and 39, which is an event some scholars, myself included, sequence subsequent to Psalm 83.

It could be that a forthcoming strategic Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites renders Iran of little utility to the Psalm 83 confederates destined to soon assemble and conspire to destroy Israel according to Bible Prophecy.

Lately it seems that there is an inescapable apocalyptic tenor resounding throughout the world. Has Time Run Out For Mideast Peace?

Astoundingly 61 years have come and gone and the international community is still attempting to figure out a political way to achieve peace in the Middle East. Ever since the rebirth of the nation Israel in May of 1948, world leaders have struggled unsuccessfully to reconcile the irreconcilable differences between the Arabs and the Jews.

Former Clinton special Mideast envoy Dennis Ross has written an 848 page book called “The Missing Peace” on the subject and upon reading it, although it is not the intention of the book, one arrives at the obvious conclusion that there is absolutely no political way to broker a lasting peace between the Arabs and the Jews. Ross’s book evidences that the ongoing conflict has reduced world leaders to the intermediary role of Real Estate Brokers and predictably both the Palestinians, supported by their partnering Arab neighbors, and the Jews want possession of the precious Promised Land.

Unfortunately it appears that the only way this matter will find ultimate resolve will be via the military option. The Arabs and the Jews are likely going to have to “duke it out”! The military venue should come as no surprise to those eschatologists familiar with the Bible prophecies recorded in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 & 39. Both of these prophecies clearly foretell the coming of two last days’ wars between Israel and their Arab and Persian nemesis’s.

Which is the Next Middle East News Headline

These days there is much talk centered upon the future timing of the Russian and Iranian led invasion of Israel, foretold in the Bible prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39. Due to the newsworthy events that are presently occurring, whereby Russian and Iranian relationships are ever strengthening, prophecy buffs are appropriately attempting with god-speed, to connect the prophetic dots.

For those of you who are not familiar with today’s most prevalent prophetic news pervading the Christian and Jewish scholarly communities, you should study Ezekiel 38 and 39, with the understanding that it alludes to a nuclear equipped Russian – Iranian led confederacy, which forms to invade the nation of Israel in the end times. Although scholars are somewhat split as to who all the other enjoining coalition member nations are, they all tend to agree that no explicit reference is made to the inclusion of Palestinians, Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, or Jordanians. Furthermore Saudi Arabians apparently abstain from enlisting themselves in the fight alongside Russia, Iran, Turkey, and the additional consortia of nations. The absence of these above listed predominately Arab populations tends to perplex the scholars, often causing them to postulate, rather than promulgate as to the reasons why.

In their zeal have the prophecy buffs managed to put the colloquial cart before the proverbial horse? Certainly the events described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are slated to arrive soon, but are they indeed scheduled next? There exists a litany of questions that should be appropriately answered before any scholar dare flip the pages of the prophetic calendar forward to the date of this Goliath Ezekiel event. Newspaper exegesis makes for sensational reporting, but has no inherent ability to accelerate the final fulfillment of a Bible prophecy.

Before we list the flurry of questions, let’s ponder the most obvious one, which is; why are the Palestinians, and their Arab neighbors from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan, not declared by Ezekiel to be enlisted members in the Russian – Iranian led coalition? These are the nations that have proven to be the most observable opponents of the Jewish State, since its inception in 1948. It is through much of their Arab soil, that Russia, Iran, and their cohorts intend to travel in order to invade Israel. This question will be answered further on in this article, but for now let’s explore the following additional questions.

Is Israel:

1. A people dwelling securely, yashab betach in the Hebrew language? (Ezek. 38:8)

2. A people dwelling without walls? (Ezek. 38:11)

3. A nation at peace in the Middle East? (Ezek. 38:11)

4. One of the wealthiest nations in the world? (Ezek. 38:13)

5. A people who have acquired "great plunder"? (Ezek. 38:13)

6. Recognized as a Sovereign Nation, by the international community? (Ezek. 38:8)

These questions address some of the prerequisite conditions required for the stage to be appropriately set for the Russian – Iranian led nuclear equipped invasion of Israel. Furthermore Ezekiel 38:8 describes the Jewish people, as being regathered from the nations of the world, and returning to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. Though the Jewish people are being restored back to their ancient promised land, the honest answers to the above questions are, in each case No!
