Recently I authored an article regarded with the timing of the Rapture. It was part one in an article series, and addressed the three primary Pre-Psalm 83 views about the event. This article can be viewed here.

For part two I thought to try something different. Part two addresses the Pre-Ezekiel 38 viewpoint about the Rapture’s timing. But, rather than doing a typical exposition, I’m presenting an unedited excerpt out of my upcoming book called Revelation Road.

Rev - Road begins as a novel but includes a full chapter-by-chapter "Companion’s Commentary" section. In the commentary I explain why I declared what I did within the novel portion of the book. I came back home yesterday early morning. I thought I should send you the note of what I perceived the prevalent political and strategic mood in the Greater Middle East. The Big Squeeze Against Israel!

This week on Prophecy Update Radio Bill Koenig and Bill Salus talk about the “Big Squeeze” being put on by the international community against Israel. Israel is experiencing unprecedented pressure to divide the land in order to achieve peace with the Palestinians.

The Quartet can’t get the Jews and Palestinians to make peace, and as such, the U.N. will have to decide whether or not to approve a Palestinian State this September. The Obama Administration wants Israel to divide its land and recede back to its pre-1967 borders but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says no way.

On May 24, 2011, before the U.S. Congress, Netanyahu declared that the land in question was not up for grabs. Summarily, Netanyahu addressed several key points relative to Israeli demands for peace,

1. Jerusalem WILL be the undivided capital of the Jewish State,

2. Millions of Palestinian Refugees WON'T be returning inside Israel,

3. The Palestinians MUST recognize Israel's right to exist as the sovereign Jewish State,

4. The Hamas – Fatah unity agreement MUST be abolished,

5. Palestinian unilateral attempts at Statehood through the United Nations MUST cease,

6. Israel maintains the RIGHT to defensible borders,

7. The Israeli demographic population changes since 1967 MUST be accepted, and

8. Israel WILL monitor Palestinian organizations and operations for national security purposes.

No one expects the Palestinians to approve of Netanyahu's laundry list of needs above. According to Genesis 12:3, Obama’s pressure could prove to be a costly mistake for Americans. War or peace; what’s next in the Middle East? And, what’s in store for America’s future?

I am often asked whether the Rapture could occur before Psalm 83, or Ezekiel 38 find fulfillment. Absolutely! It could occur before, during, or after either event. This is possible because, like the Rapture, these events appear to conclude before the trib-period commences.

Israel Strikes it Rich Someday!

Ezekiel 36:8-12 informed that upon their return, the land of Israel would be tilled, sown, and become extremely fruitful. Ezekiel declares the historic ruins would be rebuilt and the ancient cities repopulated. In these passages, he predicts the Jews will be more prosperous than at any prior time in their history. This is a startling prediction considering the land of Israel lay mostly desolate between A.D. 70 and May, 1948 when Israel was restored as the Jewish State.

Those Surrounding Israel To Be Devoured!

The prophet Zechariah informs us in chapter 12 that those peoples surrounding Israel, will someday be devoured by Israel. The key to understanding portions of his prophecy rests in recognizing the direct correlation between Zechariah 12:2 and Zechariah 12:6.

Is the Arab Spring Setting up for Winter War?

In a last ditch effort to politically broker a final Arab state called Palestine, U.S. President Barrack Obama showed his Pro-Palestinian trump card. In May, 2011, with his left hand clenched in a seeming show of American solidarity for Israel’s security, Obama snuck his right hand into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cookie jar, and was caught red-handed attempting to pick-pocket Israel’s most prized possession; their homeland.

Obama's presidential play prompted Netanyahu to push his poker chips forward, lay all his cards on the table, and shout, "ISRAEL’S ALL IN!" Netanyahu seized the opportunity to call the U.S. President's and Palestinians bluff. The King of Israel revealed his Royal Flush, leaving little wiggle room for future Mideast peace negotiations.

Some bible teachers, like Joel Rosenberg and me, believe Ezekiel 37:10 describes an army, whereas other’s like Dr. Thomas Ice and Ray Gano believe Ezekiel is predicting a great multitude or host will emerge out of his prophetic "Dry Bones" vision.

Why did Christ Die for those Predestined to Hell?

Question & Comments to Bill: Dear Bill - Do we both agree that all of God's judgment and wrath fell upon Jesus at the Cross for all mankind? If God foreknew and predestinate whom would be conformed to the image of the Son, then why did God include all the non-believer's wrath and judgment upon Jesus if God predestinated their calling into hell? Wouldn't God's wrath and judgment pour out on all non-believer's that His Son had to endure be executed in Hell?

I have been praying to God about this for the last few days and was led to present the question to you. Why not just place upon Christ the wrath of those souls that would not be ashamed and end up before Christ at His judgment Seat. Why include all of mankind when many are called, but few are chosen?

God knows who is going to Hell. Why was Jesus subjected to those who will spend eternity in Hell's wrath of God? Why not only those that are chosen to be sons of God?

The Future for America in Bible Prophecy

Will Arab Protests Result in Mideast Wars?

Arab protests continue spreading like wildfires throughout the Middle East. Many liberal pundits hope this promotes freedom and democracy throughout the region. However, while Americans wait for Mideast dust to settle and new Arab governments to form, they are experiencing pain at the pumps. Gas prices rose 26 times in 27 days in parts of California in the month of February, 2011.

This week on Prophecy Update Radio Bill reminds the listeners Mideast events could signal the Israeli War Prophecies are about to occur. He suggests the unrest might be the Lord's way of telling humanity; “You have had 62-years since Israel became a nation; international community, and you’ve botched it and made it worse, and they have high-tech arsenals that can decimate the Jewish State pointed at the Jewish State.

Furthermore he adds, And I think the Lord’s going to step in at this point, and I don’t think we’re going to see an international peaceful resolve to this matter. I think it’s going to break out into wars and the peace Israel so desperately needs and wants to achieve they’ll have it and they’ll dwell securely in order for Ezekiel 38 & 39 to occur. But, it won’t be through politically brokered land for peace deals. I think it’s going to be a mess in the Mideast!”

Egypt's 40-Year Desolation

Dear Mr. Salus, Greetings in the Name of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. In reading some of your articles it is clear you believe Psalm 83 precedes Ezekiel 38. I’m puzzled about some prophecies regarding Egypt in the end time's. Could you please answer the following questions?

Q. Ezekiel 29:12-13 says Egypt is made desolate for 40 years, has this happened in history?

Q. Isaiah 19:23 says there will be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt. When do you believe this finds fulfillment?

Q. Isaiah 19:18 says 5 cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan. Has this happened in history?

Ezekiel Predicts 40-years of Egyptian Deportation

“I (the Lord) will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and among the cities that are laid waste, her cities shall be desolate forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries.” (Ezekiel 29:12, nkjv)

Ezekiel tells us Egyptians will be scattered among the nations and dispersed throughout the countries for forty years. No historical record or archaeological finding has yet confirmed an Egyptian (40-year) deportation similar to those experienced by Israel’s, (400-year Egyptian bondage, 70-year Babylonian captivity, or 1878-year worldwide diaspora.)

According to the Jewish historian Josephus, Egyptians went into captivity after Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon conquered Egypt, which occurred around 568 B.C. However, it is difficult to confirm the length of the Egyptian deportation. Thus, 40-years of Egyptian deportation might still be a pending prophetic event.

Additionally, Isaiah 19 seems to connect with Ezekiel’s prophecy. (See the three related articles discussing Egypt and Isaiah 19 linked below.) Is Egypt about to experience a desolation brought on by the Arab –Israeli War described in Psalm 83?

Was Jesus a Jew or Roman Catholic?

Understanding the Flaws of Catholic Eschatology

Matthew 23:39 declares Jesus won't return until the Jews proclaim “Baruch haba b'shem ADONAI!” This is Hebrew for “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!” However, Catholic eschatology teaches Christ returns after humanity converts to Roman Catholicism. This implies Jews, Muslims, Protestants, Hindus, and Buddhists must convert to Catholicism. Is this why the Vatican is presently reaching out to world religions?

Is Egypt in Psalm 83?

Most modern day equivalents of the Psalm 83:6-8 participants are easily identifiable today. Clearly, the territories of Edom, Moab, and Ammon represents modern day Jordan. Furthermore, Tyre still exists in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip is located in ancient Philistia. However, Egypt is more difficult to identify causing some scholars to question its existence in the Psalm. (Read Article Now)

The Treasured Ones of Psalm 83

Comment - Dear Mr. Salus - I regularly receive emails from Bible Prophecy and as a matter of fact, I pray Psalm 83 every night for the total defeat of Israel's satanic enemies. Regarding your article "Is the Church Identified in Psalm 83?" I would like to bring the following to your attention. In my Bible Ps.83.3 reads as follows:

"They are making secret plans against your people; they are plotting against those you protect."

I feel that this translation of vs.3 is far more descriptive, especially in light of current events that are leading up to Psalm 83, which I believe will be the next "happening" in the prophetic mid east calendar. What Does the Future Hold for Egypt?

Q. Bill, in reading Isaiah 19 the WORD speaks of smiting Egypt...then healing it and they returning back to the Lord...even an altar is built on the borders for worship to our true God. vs. 24 says Israel shall be the third with Egypt and Assyria--a blessing in the midst of the land.
My question....is this after Psalm 83?

Iran Plays the Political Hezbollah and Iraq Cards in 2011
